On Winchester Now this week:
- VE Day has been remembered in Winchester 80 years on. Prayers have been said at local churches and residents have gathered together to think of the sacrifices made by so many. There’s bunting in the city centre and tea parties have been held at local care homes. Anna O’Brien visited Winchester Heights and talked to 93 year-old resident Richard and some of the staff.
- A group of mothers took part in a walk through Winchester on Wednesday for Maternal Mental Health awareness week. It was part of a global initiative called Marching for Mothers. Winchester Radio went along.

- Police have renewed their appeal for information after an e-bike collided with a 5 year-old girl in Winnall.
- Winchester’s tourism industry has received a boost thanks to national accreditation.
- Network Rail has thanked passengers for their patience after it completed a raft of upgrades over the Bank Holiday weekend.
- Park Yoga has returned to Winchester. It’s free to attend and takes place outdoors on Sundays from 9.30am at the Winchester Sport & Leisure Park.

- Hampshire Hospitals has been celebrating its admin team this week, as its been Admin Matters week.
- To the team at the Winchester Ladies Circle. In the last year they have raised close to £6,000 for the Winchester Beacon.
- To litter pickers in Littleton and Harestock who cleaned up the pavements and verges of the parish.
- It’s called the People’s Piano. The United Church in Jewry Street recently purchased a new grand piano and are keen for as many people to use it as possible. We meet Jane Lawson who is a member of United Church, and Tony Wood who is the organist.
