- A former mayor of Winchester is to face trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl during a fireworks display he attended as an official guest.
- A showcase of local music is taking place at The Arc on Saturday and it’s free to all. It’s to launch Sound Winchester – a new community initiative set up to celebrate the range of musical talent in our city.

- Garnier Road has re-opened to cars after nearly a year. Hampshire County Council has completed work on the Tunbridge.
- A nearby popular footpath and cycleway will be closed for 5 weeks from Tuesday for tree works.
- It’s the Winchester 10K on Sunday. It starts from the Broadway at 8.30am, then heading up through the city centre and out towards Kings Worthy and Headbourne Worthy, and diversions will be in place.

- Winchester Radio joined the pancake races outside Winchester Cathedral on Tuesday. 42 teams took part despite torrential rain and many supporters came to watch.
