- Plans have been revealed which could see the closure of a nursing home in Winchester, but the building of a new one. It’s under proposals by Hampshire County Council to re-organise nursing and care provision across the county.
- A new scheme to help young people with eating disorders is being created. The day service will be based at Leigh House in Winchester.
- Archaeological work has started at the back of the bus station as part of the Central Winchester Regeneration site.
- Conservatives in Winchester meet next Friday evening to start the process of choosing a new candidate to stand at the next General Election. Meanwhile Steve Brine has given his first interview to Winchester Radio since his announcement that he is to step down.

- A petition has been started calling for Winchester City Council to reverse its decision to end free parking between 7pm and 8am in city centre car parks.

- Staff on the Nick Jonas ward at the Royal Hampshire County hospital have made over £1,000 by putting on a cake sale.
- A group of young people who received their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards from the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire at a ceremony at the Great Hall.
- Pupils from Winchester College who do the washing up at the Winchester Beacon after the residents evening meal.
