- Our armed forces have been honoured in a special ceremony in Winchester – as part of Armed Forces week. A flag was raised outside the Great Hall as a symbol of respect.
- A masterplan for the redundant Bushfield Camp has been considered this week by City Councillors. The plan sets out in more detail proposals for developing the former army base.

- Upper Brook Street closes to traffic on Monday for more than a year as work continues on the new St Clements surgery.
- Unit 12’s clothing pantry opens to the public on Saturday. All clothing is being sold to raise money for the food pantry.
- A new beech tree has been planted in the Abbey Gardens play area to celebrate the recent coronation of King Charles III.
- And Winchester’s young peregrine Rosie has taken her first flight.
- Two men have cycled 96 miles on a tandem to raise £96,000 to preserve church music. They stopped off at Winchester Cathedral.
