- Inspirational Hampshire man Alex Lewis, who lost all 4 limbs after contracting sepsis, has travelled to Ukraine to help other amputees who have been injured in the war. He’s headed out with Winchester consultant anaesthetist Dr Geoff Watson who we spoke to ahead of the journey.

- A team from Hampshire and Isle of Wight fire and rescue service have worked tirelessly in Turkey following the devastating earthquake and rescued people from the rubble.
- Campaigners have installed 30 mock blue plaques in Winchester as a protest against the discharge of sewage into the River Itchen.
- The Winchester 10K road race takes place on Sunday. 2-thousand runners are due to take part in the event which started in 1983.
- The cameras have been rolling again in Winchester as Netflix arrived in the city for the second time in a month.
- The Peregrine live stream camera at Winchester Cathedral has been switched back on for 2023 and Winnie the peregrine has been spotted on the building.

- Two firefighters from Hampshire who have completed a three thousand mile row across the Atlantic. Stuart Vince and Craig Sadler spent 64 days at sea and were raising money for Solent Mind and The Fire Fighters Charity.
- A big thank you has been given to all competitors who joined the Mayor of Winchester’s Charity quiz. More than 100 people attended the event which supported three local charities – Trinity Winchester, Winchester Hospice and the British Heart Foundation.
