  • It was a momentous day and the result of more than a year of planning – Sally Stoodley and her daughter Janine have completed their pilgrimage along the Camino Way and raised money for a hoist for Winchester hospital where Sally was treated for a stroke in 2023.  We talk to them both.
  • News-in-brief:
    • Winchester hospital has been awarded more than £700,000 to install solar panels.  
    • 66,000 people have received their Spring Covid vaccination in Hampshire in the first 10 days of the campaign.   
    • The clock is ticking for people to have their say on a massive shake-up of local Government in Hampshire.  
  • Winchester MP Danny Chambers will set off on a mission this month to deliver life-saving medical supplies to Ukraine. He tells us more.
  • News-in-brief:
    • Hampshire Police Chief Constable Scott Chilton announced his immediate retirement this week, but an investigation into his conduct continues.  
    • Are you planning a street party to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day on 8 May? If so, the city council warns the deadline is approaching for applications for road closures.  
    • Hampshire has a new High Sheriff. Sue Elton was declared in the role at a ceremony at the Great Hall in Winchester.
  • A special party was held last weekend for dance charity Move Momentum as it celebrated 5 years as a charity.  It’s changed the lives of hundreds of people by giving them access to dance. We hear from CEO Amanda Watkinson.
