- After years of debate, plans have been approved to redevelop junction 9 of the M3. Work will begin next year and it will take 3 years to complete.
- The dementia bus has been in Winchester to give people an experience of what life is like for those with the condition. It was part of Dementia Action week. We hear how it went.
- Work has started on a new facility at Winchester hospital which it’s hoped will speed up waiting times for patients needing surgery. A sod-cutting ceremony for the new elective hub was held at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital

- Surrender bins have been set up at Winchester police station for people to hand in any knives and bladed items that could be used as a weapon.
- A man has been jailed for shoplifting offences in Winchester. Police say the sentence shows this sort of crime will not be tolerated in the city.
- The leader of Hampshire County Council has announced that he will stand down next week.
- More than 100 protestors gathered outside the County Council over plans to build a quarry in Hamble.
- Work has begun on the Winchester City football ground at Abbots Barton.
- A final push is underway to raise the funds needed to renovate Winchester’s historic water wheel at the city mill. A spinathon cycling challenge took place last weekend as £130,000 is needed for the restoration.
